Train the Brain is a unique program developed for athletes seeking their highest levels of performance.  Quite simply, Train the Brain provides vital mental conditioning through sports enhancement coaching.  You train your body and physical skills, but how much are you training your mind? Remember, the body follows the mind.

Train the Brain is about developing the mind of a champion athlete. You train your brain so you can succeed against the competition. Train the Brain unleashes your athletic potential: where failure becomes impossible, resulting in calm confidence, focused energy and effortless performance.

I do not coach sports psychology or treat “problems.”  As an athlete, I understand what it takes to perform.  I am a Certified Sports Enhancement Specialist and teach these strategies for high achievement in sport and competition:
  • identify beliefs that hinder confidence and performance
  • establish performance routines and rituals
  • use guided imagery and visualization to create desired performance
  • identify what you truly want and ‘see it’ happen
  • become the athlete you want to be

Train the Brain is about DESIRED RESULTS and developing the ability and courage to achieve these results.

A typical Train the Brain session lasts for an hour, during which time we identify a specific performance outcome: what do you want to achieve?  Then I help you move in that direction through coaching, guided imagery, visualization and other high achievement techniques.

You can train your brain through a series of one-on-one sessions and/or fine-tune your mind for peak performance at an upcoming event.


 
    ONE-ON-ONE COACHING
One-on-one Coaching is most effective when designed and conducted as a structured program of several weekly sessions (by phone or in person). Based on the first consultation, coaching sessions are designed to suit your individual needs and sport specificity.

    PEAK PERFORMANCE SESSIONS
Peak Performance Sessions are designed to enhance an athlete’s immediate success for a specific competition, game or event (team sports, racing, climbing … any performance). So if you want to “get in the zone” for that one day, a Peak Performance Session will get you there.  Designed around visualization and guided imagery, Peak Performance coaching can be accomplished by phone or in person, and is best scheduled 3-4 days prior to a specific event.
