  Cycling
Why would anyone train to “just” go outside and play?

To make whatever it is you love to do easier and more enjoyable. That’s why.

After all, it’s no fun to suffer through LOTOJA or struggle up the bootpack on Mount Glory. Nor is it smart to enter the Moose Chase, or race Cache Creek to Game Creek, without having done any real training. Unless, of course, the event you care most about is called the Sufferfest.

There’s more to life than endless, mindless repeats of the hike up Snow King to get and/or stay in shape.

And that one-size-fits-all ski conditioning class: not for you. You probably run and bike some, maybe even practice yoga. But how do all those pieces fit together? That’s where I come in.

In Train to Play you can choose to train by yourself, or get a group of like-minded friends together to follow the same plan of weekly workouts.  Every workout is tailored to you, based on individualized heart rate training zones that you establish in your first week of training.  Your online training schedule will guide you thru the process step-by-step, so you will always be working at your own level of ability to reach peak fitness.

Think of this as your very own virtual track, cycling, or triathlon club. You can keep it on the down-low, or get as many people involved as you want.  Everyone in the group has the same workout, so you have the flexibility to do your workout with friends or on your own—your choice. Either way, you get new and fresh workouts delivered to your schedule each week.

Experience the benefits of coach-quality workouts.  Train to Play for a month or two leading up to peak summer fitness, or get the true benefits of ongoing training guidance all year long to keep your workouts fresh, creative, appropriate, and very potent. I take all the guesswork out of your fitness regimen so you can focus on executing the plan and having fun in the process.

Training to play is not as intense or structured as the personal coaching and training packages I offer folks who train to race, but that’s not what you’re looking for. Racing isn’t what you are all about, even though you might enter a few races every year—for you, it’s all about having as much fun as you can in the playground that is Jackson Hole.
